Without teachers only through self-study very long. This is not supposed to mean that Russian is exceptionally difficult, most languages in the world are probably even more difficult, but only the simplest ones are well suited for learning alone.

By the way, the alphabet is the simplest of all. You can learn this on a day, first of all, you can also use the publication, yourself writing or read handwritten texts.

The numerous endings of the 6 cases are difficult in grammar, which are still different depending on the female/male/male and are different in plural. The aspects we do not have with each two forms for each verb, irritate. Also the verbs of the movement. The debate is not quite simple, but much easier than for example in Polish.

After all, Russian is not so difficult to learn the rules. You can, but it’s a lot of work.

Hey, this depends on how much time and effort you invest in learning! But in general, you’ve been needing to speak Russian fluently for a while, especially when you have to learn the new alphabet first. If you learn a few hours every day, you could be at a good level in one or two years, but everyone learns differently. It can also help to combine different methods such as courses, self-study and conversations with native speakers to make faster progress.

This depends on your case

  • the Method of learning you are using
  • how much time you have made
  • and motivated you are

The alphabet will not cost you much time. It’s just a little need for reconciliation, but not complicated.

Nothing can be defined in general. What’s important is that you’ve got to learn joy at talking. A language is learned anyway (in optimal cases) a life long 🙂
