Lawsuit against forced expulsion: Is it worth it?

Hey, I desperately need your advice. I've failed an exam three times already, missing only three points each time. I've also failed other exams on my second attempt, so I'm now on my third attempt in three modules. However, my university only allows me to take a maximum of two modules on my third attempt. My only option is to file an appeal against my forced expulsion. The exam officer gave me little hope, but a lawyer advised me that I have a good chance since I only missed three points. However, this is associated with high costs. I'm willing to invest if the chances of success are good, but I'm unsure. Has anyone had a similar experience? Would a lawsuit be worthwhile in my case, or should I give up?

Well, maybe consider the whole thing not just your chances about this one small aspect, but the big one.

Do you think you're going to start again? Do you have a chance to master the study? Do you have the chance that you can perform in the next few years and all the exams that still come when you get through?

Or is it essentially a 'rural cancer in the lower end'.

I don't want to tell you anything, because in the end you only know you and accordingly you can really give an answer. But do yourself a favor and be honest with yourself when considering it.

If it's still up to date: In hardly one legal area (right of examination) it is so difficult to prove something. Particularly in the case of possible evaluation errors, the examiners (and also the courts) hide behind the so-called evaluation margin. In addition, I had the feeling that even reviewers who are themselves professors do not want to get the examiners into trouble.

Please do not underestimate the duration of the dispute. I had to wait years until a decision was made.

Give it up. It's obvious that your studies are too difficult for you.
Why do you make life unnecessarily hard?

Also unstudied one can lead a successful and especially happy life.

The question is: how much do you value the chance to successfully complete your studies? I would depend on the effort not to be expelled.
