Last name for book character?
I'm currently writing a story and need a last name for two of my characters.
Firstly, there is the girl Phinix (German version of Phoenix)
And then a boy named Lucien.
Neither of the names are their real names; they only use them for protection. (I know, not a new concept.)
The surname should match the first names and ideally have a connection to light or darkness.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Black (darkness/night) White (lightness/day) ?
Thank you for your answer. Black and White are a bit too banal to me.
But still thank you for your time.
then take something you only see in the dark…. Star, Moon. And with brightness….Sun….Cloud….
I’m sorry, it wasn’t my intention. 😅
no problem…bin actually a very creative person, and your answer that it is too simple has hurt my honor xD
I like it better. Thanks for taking your time and thinking.
Lucien Darkcliff(Dark Cliff)
Phinix Rosydawn(Morgenröte) or Daylight(Tageslicht)
My names are just the best but vlt help you yes 😅
Thank you for your suggestions.

Thank you for your ideas. I’ll think about taking one of those names.
To phinix fits lux (Latin for Light)
for Lucian fits tenebris (lat. for dark)
Phinix Shiner (From Shining)
And
Lucien Blackson (by Black)
Thank you.
I think it’s good how you adapted the names.
No problem I hope I could help you 😄
Phinix Luna-Ash
Lucien Lightswitch
Just for information:
The “Eingedeutschte Version of Phoenix” writes Phönix and is pronounced with oil curtains.

Phoenix is an English unisex first name that Phinix is pronounced.
Read phone books…
I already have a list of first and last names, but I would like to have something thematically appropriate.
But thanks for your tip.
You always find suggestions for surnames in telephone books. Good luck.
This is a very funny tip 😂😂🤣
You also find funny names there. For example, I would never have come to Pia Schnitzendöbel alone. 😀
Oh, you great God… some surnames are so crazy, you don’t know how they’ve been born.
