Laptop touchpad no longer connected?

Hey guys,

I bought a Lenovo G15 v2 about 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately, it came with a pre-installed operating system and limitations, so I switched to Linux. Everything worked perfectly until about a year later, when I reinstalled Windows, and suddenly the touchpad stopped working. I've also tried a different version of Windows, but that doesn't help either. Videos showing me how to update drivers and change things in "regedit" don't help; the touchpad is listed as "Disconnected" in the device manager. I've already tried reconnecting the flex cable; it's perfectly in place without any issues, but it still doesn't work.

Do you have any other ideas or knowledge of this or similar problems?
