My mom's laptop, which I was just trying to use to watch videos, is acting up: I can move the mouse cursor and everything, but the left mouse button (touchpad) isn't working. Nothing happens when I click it. The right one works, though. So, what should I do now? Is there a way to fix this?

Klöppel doch einfach eine USB-Maus dran. Bei älteren Geräten kann es schon mal vorkommen, daß verschiedene Tasten ausfallen. Um das zu fixen müsste man den Laptop öffnen. Dann kann man die Tastatur reinigen oder bei Bedarf tauschen, was sich aber – ob des Alters – selten lohnt.
