Laptop is working less and less?
My laptop has dropped a few times and crashes strangely for no reason, but things that used to work suddenly stop working. For example, I wanted to watch a Twitch stream, but there's no sound because apparently no audio device is connected. This has only just started happening; a few hours ago, it was working. The same is happening with the camera, which hasn't worked for months. I'm starting to suspect that it's deliberately breaking bit by bit to pressure me into buying a new one. The laptop is now four and a half years old. It's a Lenovo V14-IIL or something.
Soldering points may have risen due to the fall, they have closed again by gravity. In other words, a cable is no longer firmly connected, but can change its position during vibrations, displacement or even during heating and the contact no longer exists. Then some things just sometimes and sometimes not.
As far as the camera is concerned, just a few euros, get an external one.
The sound is a bit more awkward. Restart the device and then go to the settings and sound. There you can test if he has sound at all. Also make sure the volume is not set to zero.
It is shown that no audio output device is connected at all
Do you have sufficient equipment to try everything? Is there a headset for example? Sufficiently slid into the bush?
One cannot rule out that the connection to this interrupt has a problem, but try again. Some headset or old soundbox.
Then in the settings and try again, whether it’s not still fiept.
That should be your answer.
It’s always possible that things don’t get broken immediately, but faster when the device falls or something.
But still strange that it happens at once without it falling or something
You already contradict the first sentence of your question.
Or are you overwhelmed with the idea that a defect does not have to be noticed immediately after a fall? 🤷
Several months have passed
The error can only occur after a month.
He fell down months ago. And loudspeaker has worked perfectly
According to stickers, the part was produced on 20 March 2012.
It may be that the connecting cables are also exposed to wobble contacts. That part has already done his guilt.
A laptop is not a litter. Most components are connected via rather filigree ribbon cables in the device. Both moisture/smooth and vibrations or deformations can deteriorate as the connection is deteriorated.
4 years is a good lifetime for a seriously used mobile device. A NB that constantly comes into any pockets also sees various dirt and other stress (heat/colds, moisture), that is of course something other than standing on the local desk.
I didn’t throw him
Wasn’t literally meant…
…just that this is neither strange nor without reason.
I know it’s probably because
What to reinstall and I have no money for a new one, but need one for the vocational school
A new installation CAN fix problems. This means the operating system.
And how should I reinstall the BS?
