Carrying a high-value laptop from Switzerland to Germany

I'm traveling to Germany in the next few days (by train). I'm from Switzerland. I had planned to bring my laptop, worth over €2,000, with me. Now I'm not sure if there might be any problems with customs. Does anyone know more about this? Could there be additional costs, or should I expect to lose my laptop in the worst case scenario?

Thanks in advance

it is your property that you do not introduce into Switzerland but execute. So he doesn’t care about the Swiss and the Germans as you live in Switzerland. It would be best if you took the bill, because the only control that might be interested in the laptop is the Swiss tax collector on returning to Switzerland. If you can prove that you bought it in Switzerland, that’s okay….

with a laptop it is like with a phone. you take that for your own use and will not be interested in the tax collectors. No matter how expensive the laptop was. only for the return trip it would be advisable to have the receipt in order to prove that you bought it before the departure in Switzerland. if this is even controlled. often the customs will only get through without asking.

Customs might cause problems if you can’t prove that you bought the device in Switzerland. Therefore take account.
