Using a laptop at school? Experiences, tips, programs, etc.?
Hey guys,
We have a laptop at home, which I'd like to use now that I'm starting high school, since my new school allows laptop/tablet use in class. I hope this will provide better organization, as well as more options and flexibility.
I would try to replace my entire folder structure etc. with the laptop and thus no longer have to carry notebooks, folders etc. with me.
Do you think you can use the laptop for all tasks (except drawing/partial math)?
Have you used a laptop (without a pen) at school? How did you use it, and what programs do you recommend (better programs for taking notes than Word?). I have a PC at home, and the laptop is really only for working at school and on the go. Thanks for your help!

I think OneNote would be a good tool for you.
You can create several books and pages as in a real notebook. Make notes, cross references to other pages, simply insert files in the middle of the sheet, e.g. PDFs from the school.
There is also such a freehand mode where you could write mathematical formulas and convert them into PC font. I don’t know if this works well without a pen, but try out:)
Thank you, One Note was also my reflection, but without pen I am uncertain. I’ll try it anyway.
