Laptop has too little memory?
So I have the following problem: I regularly play strategy games on my laptop which don't require a lot of memory or power, but what should I do? There isn't enough memory to have more than one game installed at the same time. That's why I was wondering, because the laptop is actually powerful enough but the memory isn't, whether I should just get an external hard drive and whether that will work, or do you think it's not worth it and I should just upgrade to a better laptop or PC?
Sure you can do. But you could also install a new larger hard drive or a 2. in addition if your PC substantiates it.
What makes it beneficial for me to buy the hardboard fittings instead of an external one?
…to the other points mentioned, the performance of USB disks also depends on the maximum possible speed Your USB hardware in your laptop – and of course from the USB case for the disk.
Guess for a good, fast SSD it should be “SuperSpeed USB 20 Gbps” for which you need “USB 3.2 Gen 2×2”.
That the hard drive can be used not only for the games but everything, you don’t have to connect external hard drive udn if necessary transport(or move or put on the table where it might fall down), if it is an SSD it is usually faster than an external hard drive (from you buy an external SSD which would be a waste of the price performance)
Well, you don’t always have a hard drive next to your computer and steal a USB port. Also, you can transport the laptop somehow, lift, etc… without disconnecting the hard disk from accident.
