Laptop erkennt zwar den neuen Arbeitsspeicher, allerdings kann dieser nicht verwendet werden?
Ich habe irgendeinen scheiss Laptop, bei welchem ich nun den RAM von 6 GB (4GB vorinstalliert und 2GB austauschbar) auf 20 GB durch ein 16GB Kit erhöht habe.
Das Problem ist, dass dieser zwar sowohl in Windows (Systemsteuerung, Taskmanager oben rechts) als auch im Bios (20GB) erkannt wird, allerdings lediglich die vorinstallierten 4 GB verwendbar sind.
Dazu kommt, dass jene 4GB auf 933 MHZ getaktet sind und im BIOS jene Taktfrequenz nicht erhöht werden kann.
Habe bereits im msconfig die Haken rausgenommen, Bios zurückgesetzt sowie eine neue Version draufgeklatscht etc.pp.
hat da jemand eine Ahnung was ich noch machen könnte?

How to help you with the hardware without any info? What does the service manual say about the topic? In particular, the existing RAM cannot be clocked at a higher level than provided.

Who is also so stupid and packs a 16Gb bolt with 4gb in a loose 15 years old laptop!

Make sure the new RAM is compatible with your laptop. Check in the manual of your motherboards or on the manufacturer page, which RAM types and sizes are supported
Did you possibly install the 32 bit version of Windows? Then you should upgrade to the 64 bit version.
