Sure that USB-C on the monitor is not just for the USB hub? Did you manually select another input on the monitor (e.g. HDMI) and not on “auto”?

Monitor directly to the laptop by hdmi fits perfectly. Resolution goes high to 3800x xxxx… via usb c and dock no signal. The resolution of the laptop itself is something at 2880x.
the usb- c on the monitor also gives 90w to load out and the laptop loads.
