Long wait for the fiber optic, what to do?

My parents signed a fiber optic contract. At that point, the cable was already in our street. We signed a contract where we didn't have to pay the €750 fee, just a €70 fee. We signed this contract in March, and a woman told us on the phone that they'd be there in four weeks. The engineer had already been here a while ago. All that's left is to run the cable into the house. Is that normal, and can we sue them for it?

How fast did you hope that? Professionals are rough, so that’s what it takes. At that time, you waited for a quarter connection for years. Infrastructure work will take time. A complete expansion of several hundred households takes from planning to completion times 3-4 years.
