LAN problem Windows?

Hello everyone.

I'm having a problem with my LAN connection on my computer. I connected the LAN cable and booted the PC normally. I installed updates and restarted the computer.

And now my LAN connection isn't working anymore. It just says "Unidentified Network," and the troubleshooter isn't working either.

Call for help to the professionals, what should be done?

Open the cmd command and type "ipconfig." The IP is usually 192.168.XX and the default gateway is 192.168.x.1. If it says something else, the DHCP on your router probably has a problem and may need a reboot.

You could also try giving yourself a static IP like 192.168.0.250 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and default gateway + DNS server on 192.168.0.1.

It just says "Unidentified network"

Which means that the computer doesn't recognize your router or can't find it at all….

In most cases, the problem resolves itself once the router is restarted. This is because the DHCP server in your router has crashed and is simply not providing the computer with an IP configuration in response to its requests. Accordingly, the computer doesn't know which IP address to use for itself, which IP address the DNS server has, or which IP address its gateway to external networks uses.

Try setting a static IP address and tell me what happens.

I'm pretty sure it just can't find a DHCP server
