Hand in notice so close to the deadline?
Hey people,
I'm studying civil engineering and work part-time at a large construction company. I've been working at this company for about six months, and I'm not happy. Of course, I need the money, for my shared apartment, etc., and I'm not above working. However, the thought of quitting makes me happier than continuing to work there. Since I have a four-week notice period and, according to my contract, I can quit either mid-month or at the end of the month, I wanted to quit effective August 15th. Since I have to send in my notice this week or in the next few days, I wanted to ask for your opinion.
I haven't told my boss anything, neither that I'm unhappy nor that I want to quit. Do you think it's okay to tell him this at such short notice? I feel bad :/ but I feel like I'm only getting unhappier the longer I work there, and this isn't my first job. I can also draw a comparison to the jobs I've had before and can honestly say that this isn't just a phase; it's really due to my colleagues/job.

I did it anyway. I am the boss with the termination and have explained this to him so that my work is no longer fun and accordingly I can no longer bring the performance he expects.
In addition, I would like to reorientate myself and take a different path that I cannot take in this company.

yes I would look for the conversation tomorrow with him and tell him about it before I reach the announcement. I would also be unpleasant if he had learned from the personal department or from my announcement. Was also so thoughtful that I told him that before I enlist the announcement

That went so fast. Between application and employment contract were exactly 4 days… And even that’s what the boss understood.
jaa.. meanwhile it is not difficult to find a 520€ job, at least in my circle. Sure, I’d be in the conversation with him, my announcement won’t turn on my colleagues. I only have a sense of conscience, can it also be that I always do too many thoughts. I already know that the conversation will be difficult for me, but I will feel relieved afterwards.
