This can tell you the workshop. Every car has the pump where different. If your e.g. are also driven via the toothed belt, it is recommended to renew this incl. the rollers immediately. He’s got to go down for it.

Is it driven by the toothed belt?

Or do you have a control chain and it is driven by the V-belt?

This is a bit more complicated than in the 2nd variant.

Would say depending on the workshop….500 – 1000 €

I had that too. Air conditioning never allow to wait and by loss of coolant and lubricant storage damage in the compressor. New compressor should be 800,-€ (free workshop) + replacement+ new filling. I decided for an overhauled for approx. 500,-€ + + . Runs now for 12 years without problems.

The decisive factor is to test the air conditioning and the coolant every year. To a certain percentage, Oel comes with it, to lubricate the compressor. That’s it!

Tooth belts must be renewed, tensioning rollers must be renewed. The teeth have to be placed exactly in the right position, otherwise the engine is hopps – not to be brushed around yourself if you don’t know.

Depends on the car and the engine, whether the WaPu is driven by the V-belt or toothed belt, which must be disassembled…
