I pickled beets (a broth with 1/3 vinegar), and after 9 months, the inside of the lid looked like this. There are bubbles in the plastic itself, no external mold. What happened, and how can this be prevented? The beets tasted okay.

Here in Austria, bacon has become so expensive that I can only treat myself to it occasionally. Is it the same in Germany? Of course, I'm talking about bacon from a butcher, not the mass-produced bacon in supermarkets.

Kauf nicht das Allerbilligste, und achte gut auf die Klinge ( separat lagern ).
Das sind gefaltete asiatische Messer. Es ist bei einer grundsätzlich guten Qualität weniger das Messer selbst, sondern vor allem die Frage, wie man ein Messer behandelt.
Das beste Messer wird stumpf, wenn Du es mit anderem Besteck in der Schublade zusammenwirfst und zum Reinigen in die Spülmaschine gibst.
Daher würde ich Dir empfehlen, Dich allgemein nach guten Messern online umzuschauen und die Messer dann sorgfältig zu behandeln und zu pflegen.
