Cruciate ligament reconstruction with “delicate” tendons?
Hello,
I had surgery on Tuesday and had a cruciate ligament replacement with my own tendon. When I woke up after the operation, the doctor told me that my tendons were very tender, which was causing him some difficulty. Does this mean that my 'new cruciate ligament' is of lower quality? I would like to be able to play soccer again in the future and I know that the surgery shouldn't really prevent me from doing so, but I also don't want to tear my cruciate ligament again.
In any case, I can already say that my recovery is going very well so far, which is actually a good sign. I'm very open to your experiences and tips on my recovery, and thank you in advance for your answers 🙂
Have a nice rest of the weekend!
Believe it is best if you ask your doctor, but ideally it will probably not be.
If you know that the tendons are bad and not stable enough, you could also operate differently and use a real donor crossband.
