Health insurance psychotherapy distance?
Hello,
I'm currently unfit for work and looking for a therapy spot. I live in a village, and the nearest therapist with a spot is about two hours away by public transport. On top of that, the buses are often canceled.
Can the health insurance company force me to contact this therapist for a trial session?
LG
No. Of course, she can’t force you to be treated, and not at all with such a long journey. The question is if it’s worth it for yourself? If you need urgent treatment and also have the time for why not use it?
There is still the possibility to submit to your health insurance company, who you called near. The KK has a duty to supply and in such a case also pays for a non-cassed psychotherapy. This means the therapists who are just as trained, but have not bought the title yet. (Case registration is expensive).
So I found my very great outpatient therapist, who has now also spent money on the title and has been admitted in cash.
If there are no private practices close to you, unfortunately you will only have the long trip. At least for a transitional period until a better solution is offered.
The therapist usually does not even create a medical report. It’s your family doctor.
The last point: Or the psychiatrist.
No, the health insurance can’t force you to a therapy. However, you could try to get through with the sickness fund that a private practice is taken over.
No, I don’t know why the health insurance should force you to anything.
Because of the sick pay. Not the one that will then stop the payment.
Sickness is not dependent on whether you go to therapy. The health insurance fund pays a certain period of health care if you are ill-written it doesn’t care if you are in therapy.
