Hello everyone,
My mobile phone provider charges me additional fees for “data connections abroad.”
Until now, I was of the opinion that roaming in other EU countries MUST be treated like normal data traffic within the country. I presume it was in Austria.
Am I missing something?

Hello, I have had the following Aldi Talk tariff for many years (chosen by my parents back then): But I'm wondering if the following tariff isn't better and cheaper: Am I misunderstanding something, or do you pay less for more GB here? Es gibt mehrere Möglichkeiten: Entweder warst Du sehr im Ausland (länger als 4 Monate), dann dürfen im Rahmen der Fair-Use-Policy Aufschläge berechnet werden. Davor solltest Du jedoch eine Warnung per SMS erhalten haben.
Eine andere Möglichkeit ist, dass in Deinem Tarif eine spezielle Roaming-Option eingestellt ist. Das hebelt die “Roam like at home”-Abrechnung aus.
Und last but not least: Dein Handy hat sich im grenznahen Bereich in ein Netz eines Nicht-EU-Landes eingebucht. Auch in diesem Fall solltest Du eine entsprechende SMS bekommen haben.
Vielleicht bist Du in das Mobilfunknetz eines benachbarten Nicht-EU-Staates geraten, z.B. Liechtenstein oder Schweiz.
Kann ich das prüfen?
