Are you traveling by train? By car? Are you moving into an apartment nearby, or do the universities have shared apartments? Or something similar?

Grundsätzlich gilt in Deutschland aber die Regel von 60 € oder dem Doppelten des Fahrpreises. Das Verkehrsunternehmen darf dann sogar annehmen, dass man schon seit dem Startbahnhof mitgefahren ist.
In F herrscht Reservierungspflicht und oft muss man das Ticket bei Fernzügen schon vorlegen bevor man auf den Bahnsteig kommt.
In D dürften die Bedingungen von Bahn.de gelten.
Auf jeden Fall viel teurer als sich kurzfristig ein Sparticket oder am Automaten was zu holen.

Genau. Wenn du also z.B in Düsseldorf einsteigst und bis Paris fahren möchtest, wird dich das den doppelten Fahrpreis kosten.
In Deutchland beträgt die Strafe das DOPPELTE des normalen Fahrpreises, mindestens aber 60 Euro.
Beim ICE darfst du dann den Normalpreis bezahlen und das ist dann 2x 180 Euro.
