Can animals nest here?
Hello folks,
I have a curious question
We have a roller blind like the one shown in the picture below.
I often read that animals like bats, bees, martens, etc. nest in roller shutter boxes.
First of all, we live on the first floor, so if anything, it would be a flying animal.
Well, my question is whether this is possible or rather unlikely? Greetings
Yes, it is possible. Even in the case of a bat there are already 1-2 cm gaps. I’ve had two days between the window and the wall. The gap is just a finger thick. For bees, of course, much less gap is necessary. But don’t know if the Rollo is used regularly, whether they would permanently nest.
The Rollos is actually used daily
In that case, a permanent classification is likely to be more unlikely. Because at the latest when a bat has one or two times to feel the Rollo, it probably remains away. Where bats are rather rare in cities. I can’t say anything about bees and wasps, but I don’t think they have much interest if there’s no room for a nest in the Rollo box.
So when he is often used is not
It’s possible. Doesn’t happen so often.
That’s not right. It’s a lot of time.
In this case, flight insects are exposed to a region protected from moisture and extreme cold and thus protected from frying enemies. Everything is possible here.
Only more expensive roller shutters are sufficiently sealed to prevent this.

I’ve spoken more of my own experiences. They look so similar. The suspicion that a bee nest is created in his box, I see as rather small… But thanks.
That’s right, because there’s a small column in the often small insects, such as bees, and a nest in the roller blind box was like this:(
But not bats?
Yeah, sure, bats us puppies depending on how often you use it
Puppies like to do this
And bats?
the gap is too small
