Also a heavy depressive episode can completely decay, so that the affected person is symptom-free. I wouldn’t use the name of healing, though. Instead, one speaks of a remission.

More than half of the people who were once ill with a depressive episode get at least one second depressive episode in their lives. This is called recurrent depression.
There are also other forms of chronic depression. One speaks of chronic depression when the disease lasts for more than two years.

The sooner the diagnosis is made and one goes into expert treatment, the higher the chance that it will be better again and there will be no chronicification.
The treatment of depression can take years or even decades.

No in your sub-wussein it stays and someday it comes up again to inhibit medication just like therapies.

Yes, however, should be the right therapy. So one that changes something in the head, constantly the same negative thoughts etc. That changes the way of view and setting, instead of swallowing antidepressants. They can be useful for the first time, but you should put some rituals in your head or change them.

It is certainly not possible by itself, but after intensive talk – and additional medication – therapy.

But no one can guarantee you.

I think so. But the probability is very different. Antidepressants, however, the more difficult the depression.
