Cancel extras at short notice?
Hello,
I spontaneously applied to be an extra through an agency and was accepted. About a day later, I even got the job.
Now I have received more information emails, and there are a few things that bother me:
The shoot is supposed to last until the middle of the night and has now been pushed back even further in another email. You have to hand over your cell phone (understandable, since filming isn't allowed), and the emails are abbreviated with LG. The date on the flyer, where it says what to wear, is simply wrong (it's the year, otherwise it's correct). The font size within the email varies, and I've received notifications from two different numbers that a new important email has arrived. Once with just LG at the end?! Once with LG and name. (I also received a spam email today, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.)
Otherwise, it seems reasonably "professional." But somehow I find it rather dubious, given that there are so many little details. :/
Now I've already confirmed in writing via email with a phrase like… Yes, I'm coming…
Is this binding and would I have to pay a penalty if I don't show up or cancel at short notice?
And what do you think about it?
Greetings 😉
Hey, Hansi.
that sounds a bit strange for me, did you ever googlet the agency, what does its website look like? Maybe you can look at imprint and googlen or something, maybe you can find something…
