Does a digital euro come at some point?

Yes, it’s already in preparation.

But not to abolish cash, but as a further supplement.

If so, when do you think it might come?

I guess I’ll get rid of cash, it’ll take decades more than years.

The digital euro will come in the next few years.

As a supplement to cash and money. This does not mean that there will be no more cash.

No one knows what the dear state has with you. It also had no intention to build a wall 😉

It’s in preparation. Each transaction will be auditable and the money is potentially programmable. This means, for example, artificial loss of purchasing power over time or only a limited selection of the personal assortment. This can be combined well with a social point system as in China. The perfect control system for all, because after that every resistance is pointless. The old money can theoretically be devalued by inflation. There is hardly a social debate at the moment, because for good reason there is no report on it.

Yes Supplement to cash. Both can exist side by side and one does not exclude the other.

Do you think that cash is abolished and instead a digital currency is introduced?

No.

There you go. Names card payment, direct debit and bank transfer.

The question is not. To introduce something new. It doesn’t need that. That’s it. Whether and how to get rid of the cash.

These are cashless payment methods that have nothing to do with the planned digital euro.

The majority of the Germans don’t want it.

However, there are groupings in Germany who want to act against the will of the people and want to make access to cash more and more difficult in order to abolish the cash behind.

The introduction of a digital euro is planned, but only as a supplement to cash.
