Strange spots on the hamster?
Hello, I recently bought a hamster, and now he has some wet patches on his body. There's no blood or anything, but I'm still a little worried.
Does anyone know what it could be?
My dwarf rabbit has had a swollen nose for 4 weeks, but plays, romps and eats normally. When the vet gave me the vaccination, he said that the nose looked like rabbit syphilis, but the genitals looked normal. He also said it was unusual, as the rabbits don't have contact with wild rabbits. I should…
Urgent question!!! We have a male rabbit who is almost 2 years old and for some unknown reason he is dragging his hind leg. We went to the vet today who diagnosed a fracture in the joint and gave us two options until tomorrow amortize euthanize Do you have any experience or advice on what…
Hey, I recently got new guinea pigs, and they were tame with their previous owner, but not with me. Why?
Hey:), I have a real problem with my doe. She scratches and knocks really loudly at night. My rabbit is totally calm and doesn't do anything, but she goes completely crazy at night. I've read up on it and it seems that she's currently at the time when she could get pregnant and that's how…
Hello, I found a small mouse in the garden that was bleeding and spitting blood. I touched it, took it home and gave it food until I realized that it might be sick. I was scared of it because it was spitting blood. Then I put it back in the garden. Is that dangerous? Could…
Since late last fall, a hole about 10 cm in diameter with soil ejected from it appeared near the garden shed. It was filled, but dug out again daily. A rag soaked in vinegar was stuffed into it – and it's quiet. A few weeks ago, a digging site was discovered with soil ejected under…
Before you make panic of others:
At this point Goldhamstern is the scented gland. The one is not haired at spots and the place can be wet and damp, since gland liquid emerges. Especially in heat, stress and after marking, it is often wet.
As long as the free skin is not reddened and inflamed, it is not worrying for the first time.
If it’s permanent, you should consult a vet. For the first, however, it is normal as long as the skin looks healthy and the gland is not glued.
Please avoid any stress. Don’t take out the animal, don’t touch it. No smashing, no moving, no fresh litter. No institution that belonged to another animal. The cradle must be at least 120×50, more than 150×50.

Looks like a skin fungus, circularly siffing hairless place… do not touch (the fungus is whether animal or human skin!) and soon to the TA!
This is the scented gland, which is normal as long as the skin below it is not inflamed 🙂
Good to know! Saw in the dimension now something too mushroom-like, thought the glands are much smaller;) but cool, again what learned
on the first look this doesn’t look okay. But I don’t want to make false assumptions. A visit to the veterinarian might quickly lead to a diagnosis.
This is a scented gland, don’t worry 🙂
Oh, that doesn’t look good. Go to the vet right tomorrow.
