Strange noises in 1st gear and reverse gear?
Hello, my 116i makes strange noises when starting off and reversing. It sounds as if I'm driving at too low a rev range or the engine is about to die. However, that's not the case; no matter how I hold the clutch or give it a little more gas, the noise doesn't go away. It only goes away when I drive faster than walking pace. It makes more noise when it's cold than when it's warm. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
have in the rule the kfz experts of the bmw workshop
But before I go straight to the workshop I wanted to see what is said here because I couldn’t find anything on the Internet in general. :
I don’t know how much you know, but the reverse is straight. The 1st gear is very short, so that a summing noise is also available.
Does that help?
Well, I’d say I have such a mediocre idea. That’s true, it’s just me that it’s very surprising because the noise is very loud in relation to it (in particular when it comes to cold start-up, when it’s warm, no longer so.) and it wasn’t so loud in my previous car. 😀 But maybe that’s just normal.
Car old? many kilometers? Oil still good in the gear?
So that was the only thing I could have said. So it’s hard to give a remote diagnosis with a noise at a cold engine. I don’t know.
Thank you.
In the on-board computer, a lot–but not everything. If you don’t trust the thing, run the car before someone knows.
Is bj 2013 at 137,000 km, from gear oil change I don’t know anything now. I haven’t had the car yet and I don’t think there’s any transmission oil at the service times.
