Colleague acting so mysterious?
Let's say you work with a colleague from another department. You get along well with them and meet up often. It's not a problem with him or his colleagues. However, whenever he comes to my department for something, I get the impression that he acts like he doesn't really know me at all—or that something is bothering him. If he does come, he asks me beforehand if anyone is there. As if he'd be uncomfortable if my colleagues saw us together.
What could be the reason for this?
What’s he doing wrong?
Perhaps you are unconsciously different and more at a distance from the company.
For example, why does he always ask if someone is with me before he comes by?
If he comes for private talks and that is during working hours, then he does not want to make an unprofessional impression.
If I give him my lunch break, he doesn’t care.
Maybe you’re embarrassing him
