Lump in your throat?

I am 18 and for about a year now I have been feeling or palpating a pea-shaped lump on the left side of my larynx (marked in the picture).

As you can see, the area reddens when I press harder, it is mobile and not painful if I do not press too hard

I fear it could be a tumor given the length of observation 🙁

The pediatrician should look at this, make an ultrasound and blood collection. It can be a benign lipom, which I suspect, such a thick swollen lymph node is questionable.

The thyroid should also be investigated with ultrasound.

Then you get a diagnosis and don’t need to get you anymore.

Good for you.

The place isn’t that horny, so I’d have to check it out.

No one here can give a remote diagnosis, but a moving node can indicate a lipom. Lipomes have many and they are basically harmless. But only a doctor can confirm that with certainty. However, lipomas can also become very large and this could negatively affect you despite a lack of risk.

Remote diagnosis is always difficult – especially for non-medicals; from the doctor…

What do you think, how many people sometimes get a knot in the neck or their neckbeader swells or sometimes gets a thick neck?! They don’t have a tumour in the Kopp! So the small print was ignored!!! But normal. Fits in the euphoria

Yes could be a tumor, but maybe also a cyst or swollen lymph node.
A doctor can help you here with absolute certainty no one.

Why didn’t you go along the HNO Doc?

You should finally think about going to the HNO Doc if you want security. You’re 18 and you don’t need to ask your parents anymore.
