Cancel the clinic place now?
Dear community,
I registered at several clinics because of my eating disorder and was offered a place at one of them. I was supposed to start there in 6 days.
However, I've now received an invitation from a clinic that I "like" better due to several factors (distance, concept, etc.). Although I'd have to wait about four weeks, I've been waiting for a response from the clinic for months and honestly don't know how to assess the situation.
Since I'm already scheduled for admission at the other clinic, it would obviously be very rude to cancel my appointment at such short notice. On the other hand, I much prefer the treatment at the other clinic, and I actually see a better chance of success.
Do I have to accept the scheduled hospital placement in 6 days or am I allowed to cancel it now?

You can ask someone else to leave on the waiting list. Then take a look at the other clinic and let you know how long the waiting time is.
The clinic has so many waiting that there is no failure. The next one is pushed up.
You have the right to choose between different clinics. If your abdominal feeling already says, dear the other, it will be the better alternative anyway.
Hello! You can either cancel the place completely or let them know that you don’t have time at the moment and when you have time again – so they’ll leave people on the waiting list until then.
Call and explain your situation. I think a rejection will not be a problem. And that’s how someone else can push.
