Kickstarter fails, what should I do?

Hello my love, I have a problem. Yesterday I bought a Yamaha DT, first model. Everything was fine. Now to the question: the previous owner said that the half moon broke and I think that everything is fine there, but my kickstarter slips through, even when I push it, it doesn't. Could it really be that the supposedly missing half moon is missing and how can I make the half moon myself? Please reply quickly.

The crescent moon is said to be missing there

What is not apparent from your question now is whether the engine is turned through as little as it is by kickstarter.

The point where the arrow indicates is the crankshaft, on which the pole wheel is on it and so that the pole wheel is not positioned incorrectly on the crankshaft is there in a groove of this “half moon” (which is on one side grade and on the other round), which then engages in the counter groove of the pole wheel.

The pole wheel should actually sit on a cone, the half-moon is actually more a mounting aid (so that it can’t twist while you tighten). The half-moon is actually made of glass-hard steel, you can also make the evtl from softer materials, but if that keeps it? It’s a problem to tighten that mother. You have to hold the crankshaft so you can tighten the nut. The pole wheel is offered to hold, but so that the transmission is sufficient this half moon must have the necessary stability.

you mean your machine isn’t going on?

I just don’t understand your pictures with the shield.

what you sign and where the arrow on the picture is described unclearly .

does the kickstarter really turn through? So really very easy as if it was missing?

then it could be the error described below of Yamahsuki.

But on the picture with the arrow is the flywheel for the ignition and yes there is a half moon sitting on the shaft when the kaput is unable to turn the flywheel correctly and your machine does not jump. if the abort is broken and the dizziness is more often slipped over it (it’s like welded in) then only new wave helps where you can restart the half moon.

The part you call is so seen half a pinion that drives the crankshaft on a gear.

If this is broken, it can’t build a force lock on the sprocket and the kickstarter turns empty.

Get a used or new, installation is not all too heavy.

You’ll probably find a tutorial on YourTube.

However, without this, it is not a big deal to settle.

Much glùck while repairing, good drive I’ll give you.

mhhh, I think he has two mistakes – kaputer Kickstarter part. the dt 125, by the way, no longer had half a pinion, but had already a complete wheel with spring which presses forward and thus transfers the force fit.

In the pictures you see the flywheel (he says there should be the mistake) – yes the half moon on the wave – prevents the flywheel from turning through on the wave. When the abort is broken, the flywheel rotates irregularly until not (as it slips on the shaft) and the motor cannot go. Once the half moon has broken off and the flywheel had too much friction, the rest of the half moon on the shaft is welded. So just exchange the wave.

Yes, you could be right, the photos are not meaningful. A photo of the lid itself would be more meaningful.

You can also find half-moon tickles with variomatics.

The easiest thing would be a reperature guide with photos and that should be done.

There is a strong torque, you already need an original spare part.

Here eimn link of spare parts, what is this now broken with yours?
