Vehicle tax Mercedes 190?

Hello everyone,

I currently drive a Mercedes 190 from 1983. The car doesn't have a catalytic converter, which is why it's a bit dirty.

Accordingly, I pay almost 500 euros in vehicle tax per year.

Can anyone tell me if that's a bit too much and what options there are for retrofitting a catalytic converter or something similar?

Best regards

The car may be declared historical.

Vehicles with Oldtimer Signs

For vehicles with a Oldtimer sign the tax rate is fixed at a flat rate. It is currently EUR 46.02 for motorcycles and EUR 191,73 for all other vehicles (Section 9 Section 4 No. 2 KraftStG).

Hello

1.) for 200E and 230E (KA or KE Jetronic) there were Daimler RÜF as well as retrofits from GAT and Wurm in Euro 3. The worm also made Euro 4 or the first Euro4 car registered in Germany was a W123 230E with a speed of 300 000km from the worm

For 200s with Pierburg or Kehin carburetor there were the Oberland Mangold HJS or Eberspächer retrofits in Euro 2.

Expense and cost should be explained the exemption for simplified installation only with AU testing was eventually terminated by 2010 due to the “Russfilterschummelei” in Diesel.

Before retrofitting, you first check the state of wear of the engine (HC values). The early single-roller chains M102 had, in short distance, wear in because of valve guides and the piston tipping problem both increased because of oil consumption and the HC values. The double roller chain motors with improved valve drive (Teflon valve shaft seals) came off. But the piston tipping problem was not solved despite the ferrocoat coating of the piston shirts.

2.) There is the H license plate with acceptance according to STVZO §21c

3. H license plate “can” be used as an old-timer insurance, but the old-timer insurance is chosen by customers. If this is not possible, you must complete a regular insurance.

Oldtimer insurance is usually available only for older vehicle holders and for second or third-party cars. NmE has the Hanse Oldtimer Insurance rates for 21 year old holders.

The car can already be driven with H-marks, as only a flat-rate tax of 190€ is due.

Hi normal,

A cat is quite expensive and does not go on any model.

Would your car have the chance to get an H license plate?

30 years old, how’s the state?

How old are you?

Call the car as an oldtimer. To do this, you drive to a testing organization and let you create an old-time review. Then you’ll report the car to Oldtimer.

The level of the tax is normal. With Wurm-Kat you would be at 150€ tax. However, you first have a cost of €1000-1500.

If you plan to drive the car for at least 5 years, it would be worth it.
