Keyboard no longer works?

Hello everyone,

I recently updated my Acer laptop, the ROG GL702VM, but now the keyboard no longer works. I've already…

– Restarted

– Driver uninstalled + restart

– Driver update searched (latest version)

– In the Windows settings under Keyboard everything turned on/off as shown in a tutorial

What puzzles me is that the combination of the FN and F1 through F12 keys works. F9 looks like it can turn off the keyboard, but it doesn't work…

Thanks for the help!

Have you already contacted Acer Support? I can well imagine, as suggested in your question, that it's a software issue and not something mechanical. Whether Windows has a problem with the software or the other way around, it's impossible to say for sure; perhaps a new update will fix it. Otherwise, can you just delete the software and get by without it? That's just surprising, as it doesn't have much to do with the problem.
