Kenwood KDC-4551UB goes out when dipped beam?
Good day everyone,
I have a Kenwood KDC-4551UB and have installed it.
It works as long as I don't turn on the interior lights or the low beams. If I do, the radio simply turns off.
the interior lamp has burned out.
I drive a 2010 Aygo.
I also swapped the yellow and red cables… now nothing works.
please help me…
Usually, the plug connectors have a connection to the radio which when the lighting is active gives voltage to the radio to influence the radio lighting.
With you, it seems to be anxious that the radio goes out.
I would just disconnect the contact
That’s a good idea. I’ll take a look at the instructions!
Light+ (yellow cable) is attached to the radio as a mass.
I already found the solution. The radio has two voltage sources once from the battery and once from the ignition and voltage source of the battery had been lost voltage so voltage drop.
the radio has gone out again and again. I put both lines on the ignition. So always constant 12V
You definitely did something wrong. Just let it be checked in the workshop, remote diagnosis is not possible.
So I couldn’t do much wrong, and a workshop might be a little too much effort for the old thing. But thanks for the effort!
Obviously you’re overwhelmed with it, there’s nothing left to you.
In many cases, remote diagnosis is difficult – or impossible. But not here.
Someone probably used light+ as a mass here.
Got it.
The connection of the battery was the problem (red cable ), as it lost voltage when the lamps were on. That’s how it always happened. I have connected the red line to the yellow yellow (ignition) and thus always 12V on both connections.
