It is a floor brand of the VEB Thüringer Porzellanwerk Gehren from the period between 1948 and 1950 in conjunction with the then VVB Glas/Keramik:

The Association of Local Companies Glass-Ceramics, based in Ilmenau, was an institution of public law. With effect from 1 July 1948, the SMAD of 23 April 1948 was confirmed in the execution of command No. 76. The structural breakdown and the task area are essentially different VVBs of that time. In accordance with the special subject of the VVB, it was mainly responsible for the following product groups: technical, chemical and electrochemical laboratory glass and porcelain, medical and pharmaceutical glass (glass instruments, thermometers), packaging glass, utility and household utensils and porcelain (tone, stoneware, ceramics), decorative glass (hand-painted). The resolution was probably in 1951.

The floor mark was also used in the designated period without the glass/porcelan symbol, i.e. the ladle with letters ‘P’ on the left and letters ‘G’ on the right side as well as under standing ‘VEB’
