No more plastic straws but still plastic lids?

Fast food chains only use paper straws these days. But the lid on top of the cup is still made of plastic. What's the point?

I can’t find the whole thing. If it happened to me, there wouldn’t be anything from cardboard, just on the way. If I go where and go (not in the restaurant) eat something, then I have my bread time and drinks myself filled in my plastic bottle and that is always the same bottle – for many years. It is better to eat in a real economy, comfortable sitting and eating and drinks, of course, from proper dishes and glasses.
