No appetite – what to do?
Heyy, short version:
I've had absolutely no appetite for days, and I'm finding it incredibly difficult to eat. I'm hungry, but not particularly, and yet I don't feel any need to eat. Not even my favorite food or anything sweet.
Long version:
I've been diagnosed with depression, social anxiety, and ADD. I take Sertraline 100mg and Elvanse 30mg. This has reduced my appetite somewhat, but I still ate two meals normally. For the past week, however, I've had no appetite at all, or as mentioned above, no desire to eat. I haven't eaten more than 400 kcal for six days, and I know that's way too little (my basal metabolic rate is around 1500). I've been a camp director at a summer camp for two days, and the only reason I'm eating lunch and dinner is because the children are at the table, and I'm supposed to eat in front of them (for my own morale and their psychological well-being).
The problem why I find it difficult to eat despite having no appetite is that I generally have a tendency towards anorexia (undiagnosed) and two factors simply coincide.
Do you have any ideas what I could do? Generally or here at camp? I'm worried my body won't be able to cope much longer, and I don't want to collapse in front of the kids.
Genre general tips and solutions but also emotional or social.
I would be incredibly grateful if you would answer 🙂
Hello.
Have you ever tried it with cravings like bitter substances?
not too much to drink before eating can also help. Especially in the weather you drink a lot and also water quenches hunger in a certain way.
Hello,
B vitamins and CBD oil stimulate appetite. L-Tryptohan, which is metabolized via 5 HTP in serotonin, also acts appetitious. You can sublime these 3 things.
In addition, you can drink strong meat or vegetable broth as well as ginger.
Tomato salad with basil also stimulates appetite.
You’re good.
