Showering cats?

Hi, I have two cats, both male and about 10 months old, because they had fleas we showered them with cat flea shampoo, both at the same time of course, so that they might not find it so bad. Now they somehow don't recognize each other anymore and we're wondering how long it will take. They can't be in the same room together because otherwise they start fighting, but when they're separated they meow the whole time and look for each other. What can we do?

Good heavens, what some people like… Please let the veterinarian explain how to treat flea attack correctly.

If washing has such a negative effect, I would ask the doctor whether a spot would be enough.

Good luck and good improvement for cats

Veterinary change, but pronto. Veterinarians who recommend to wash cats are actually indicated due to animal torture. I also see these poison bombs extremely critical. There are very good systemic agents for flea attack.

Oh, I’m glad!

Can it be that I see it correctly in the pictures that your 10-month-old hangovers are unchambered, or is that wrong? Where did you get them that they were so persecuted (still are)?

Yeah, right, it’s time for the Bubu!

Very beautiful animals, really! Hope they’ll get back soon!

These are real beauties! Two girls? Or is the left a hangover?

Yes, please. And don’t panic about a few fleas, that’s awkward, but not the end of the world. With some patience, you get that under control. What the two need next is a means against bandworms, which can be transmitted by fleas. But not on man, don’t worry, the infection happens by swallowing the flea.

What does that matter? Nobody knows you here anyway.

Take it. It’s just not worth it.

Because there are also things that are harmful as long as they are sold. You took the cat’s family smell.

You have responded to the observation that the cat is dead.

You can see the reaction of the cats that it wasn’t a good idea to shower them.

So your cats are still alive? Then it’s okay, I thought…

The cat died? Pneumonia because it was bathed?

This doesn’t work when the cat died and the fleas are sitting everywhere.

These monthly flea protection products must of course also be given monthly, dear! And until the apartment is completely flee-free, 2-3 months pass. It must be clear to you when you look at the multiplication cycle of fleas.

Nope. I would do the devil to poison my environment for a few fleas. We had a massive flea problem at the time in Spain and Lufenuron (at the time available as a program) was the Game Changer. Within 2-3 months the household was completely flee-free. We gave to the dogs around Lufenuron once a month and never had a flea problem again. The cats occasionally brought a flea to the plot (it was “outside cats”), but since after a meal on a dog it could no longer reproduce, it did not return to a flea attack.

Don’t wash.

I had good experiences with Credelio. The active ingredient is called Lotilaner. Lufenuron is also very suitable for preventing flea breeding in its own house. This does not kill the adult fleas, but makes them sterile. And it is very well tolerated.

Once the apartment is contaminated with fleas, only the Fogger actually helps.

Cats recognize each other by the smell, which is probably covered by the flea shampoo 😅

It can take a little. You can also rub the cats off their cuddly blankets, etc. At least they get something back from their own odor and possibly it helps. Otherwise wait, after one-two days it should be.

Please comb out the fleas.

If your cats react so negatively to washing, ask your TA after a spot on.

I hope you get the flea attack quickly!

Two days at most.
