Cat suddenly has diarrhea?
Hello. Emy is about 8 months old now. I give her wet food every morning and evening. They've been eating the same food ever since they arrived: Real Nature Wilderness dry food with chicken and fish, and Premiere Meat wet food, just the junior varieties.
I just noticed while she was on the toilet that she has really bad diarrhea. What could be causing this again? They haven't had any treats in a while, and they haven't had any different food either. She's drinking, playing, and eating as usual. I could really cry now, it's different with the two of them every time.
They don't go outside and I don't have any plants.
Hello,
of diarrhea is spoken in a cat, when it sets large amounts of liquid feces several times a day, sometimes even no longer creates the cat’s clot.
If Emy now had only 1x thinner feces and otherwise eats, drinks, plays, shows no pain signs, doesn’t aggressively affect her worm brother, doesn’t break, then I would wait a few days and let her breath deep.
What you’re writing doesn’t sound bad and doesn’t need a mandatory veterinarian appointment today and tomorrow.
Since you’ve been with the veterinarian so often, they know you already and it may be enough for today if you call there and ask if it’s absolutely necessary for treatment and if there is anything you can do.
That’s how I’m with my veterinarian: For little puppies I have everything here and just call briefly, talk to the veterinarian helper, who usually gives me great extra tips and warning and then I’m going to do it. If it doesn’t get better or worse, I’ll go with the cat personally.
You and your cats all thoughtful good.
Best regards 🙋 ♀️ +😺 +😺
Thank you. That was once. Otherwise, I didn’t notice a diarrhea, she plays quite normal and didn’t break it either. She doesn’t make me any pain.
According to TA, I’m supposed to wait before I come back, but I’m supposed to watch it. I’m not supposed to give food today and watch it first.
I hope it will be back soon.
Everything’s gonna be okay!
You should put a cat apotheke on you for such little puppies.
My cats get when the cot is sometimes more spicy, either more dry food (stips), or healing microfine powder a knife tip into the lining. The latter helps reliably and next day everything is good again.
It is also worth having flea seeds in the house, which you can then mix under the food. In diarrhea, but not softened, but pure under it. Dosage can be found on the Internet.
I would introduce them to the veterinarian – if he were to request a cot sample and also test them for gies:
Giardien – if necessary – will also be infested with non-residents!
All good – must be nix bad…;)
Can they just come like that? Or how does that happen? You think you can rest.
The visit to the veterinarian will give you clarity – best go tomorrow!
I’m glad!
Believe me.
I have no cats, but 3 dogs…
I learned so much about Giardien, you can believe me…
If your cats had idols, they still live in the galls and in the small intestine. After infection, they never leave. They’re just not symptomatic.
Milo has nothing. No diarrhea.
Will the TA then arrange – if there are any ones since…
My Leo had this time when he drank from a puddle in the forest – I always have fresh water while hiking.
Treated all three…
Since then I have been extremely careful!
Giardia are highly infected, for humans and animals, as it is a zoonosis. So your other cat should also be examined and treated, it should be. Panacur is the first remedy of choice.
I’m aware of that. I’ve been through with the two. The waiting period is just under the week not so easy with job and toddler. But as I said, I will call there and see what my TA says.
In acute cases, you – usually – are always taken.
Diarrhea in cats is always serious – that also knows your TA!
Waiting time, of course…
It’s not that easy. My TA is often very crowded. But I will call there and ask for an appointment for the next few days.
Well, maybe it’s better to change the adult food.
The dry food is for adults. The wet food as usual for kittens, you say you should change with 1 year and so I had it too.
Yeah, but they’re in general. Every cat is different, as you do. ;D
