Any tips on how to properly exercise a tomcat?
Hi, we have a pair of siblings. A male and a female, both 6 months old.
I have the feeling that Milo isn't getting enough exercise. He always wants to play, but Emy doesn't want to and shows it by growling. I've tried puzzle games, fishing, etc., but he quickly gets bored. He gets really worked up, especially at night. Do you have any ideas how I can give him some relief?
Hello,
I would get a neuter of 6-8 months for Milo. Then Emy is out of the “Schusslinie” and can rest.
Because your Milo will still want to balance and fight 1-1 1/2 years.
Here is a visual example of how young cats play together:https://youtu.be/puxZFeTLx68

It goes without saying that Milo and Emy are either already neutered, or they must be neutered in the next 2 weeks at the latest.
I would pick up the new gamemates for Milo so that all three can move into a new area of 200 sqm together and then divide the resources among themselves.
I wish your cats all thoughtful good and all of you a successful move to a paradisiacal large apartment. 😉

Yeah, I think so. The two are castrated. We’re just pulling threads with Emy, it’s all great!
On the basis of the videos I am very much as different playing there is.. with us it is always so the Emy tries to get away but he then claws at her :(I am totally sorry for the little mouse.
I’m just afraid that it’s going to be too much for Emy in the end, but at a 200sqm house with 2 floors + built-in attic and balcony .. she probably has enough opportunities to hide. Right?
Both cats will have enough to do with each other. She’ll get used to it and make her thing, cuddle more with you, or be near you.
Thanks for the yellow star! 🙂
Exactly, absolutely!
That would be nice to talk to my husband about it tonight. On 01.09, the move is already going on.. until then it would be nice to have thoughts about it so that everyone can move into the new house together. Then it smells like no other cat there
A second cat (thus a total of 3 cats) would be a solution. Another one would be more to play with Milo. The guys are usually more active than the girls. If you really get a second boy, the two would take enough. If you decide to play more with him or to make his everyday life more active, it would also be a good solution. It might be a bit exhausting for you.

Yes, especially since we have a toddler and I just want to start working because soon the kindergarten starts. I think it would be a 3 bad idea.. 😳
Then your current pets can look forward to a new friend.😊 I hope they will understand each other. Have a wonderful day!
