Tomcat eats a lot, what could it be?

Hey, for the past few days, my cat has been eating an awful lot. He's meowing the whole time because he's hungry, and tonight he ate 200 grams of wet food (he usually gets 100, but my cat didn't like it, so he got it). I have to refill the dry food bowl every morning because he eats it at night. He's 2.5, so it's not growth. He also had his deworming treatment before he came here, so we can rule out worms. He has a vet appointment on the 2nd for his vaccination, but I'm already hoping for an answer. If anyone has experience with this, I'd appreciate a helpful answer. (They both get 100g in the morning, at lunch, and in the evening.)

Is the specified amount the whole daily ration? That wouldn’t be much, and 100 g would be quite little. You don’t have to wonder if he eats dry food at night.

300 g would be quite a lot again. What kind of wet food do you give him? Can it be that these are cheap foods? In the case of qualitatively good and thus usually somewhat more expensive feed, so much necessary ingredients and especially good meat are contained. The animal then needs less.

How much does your cat weigh and how big is he? Does he have overweight or normal weight?

My caterle (normal weight / normal stature) eats 200-300 grams of wet food normal 😅

I find 100Gramm very little

Oh, okay 😂

Then he gets enough to feed 🤔

Is everything okay?

With my hangover, it also happens that he may eat for a while more, I give him a small portion and as long as he holds his weight, this is not problematic either.
