Can anyone tell me more about PSSM2 or PSSM1 in a HORSE?
Hello everyone,
My 6-year-old Haflinger mare is being tested for PSSM 2, I am still waiting for the results.
I've read a bit about it on the internet and I think based on her symptoms she might have this disease.
I've seen her before from several vets but no one could tell me what was wrong with her or anyone could really get to grips with this horse, but now I've had someone who thinks it could be this disease.
The information on the internet seems superficial to me, and even if I google it I don't find out anything really new.
I'm really worried about my horse. I'm having nightmares and can't sleep properly. I'm afraid of losing her.
She's my first horse, apart from the fact that I've had the vet there all the time since she arrived and she's often really bitchy, she's a great horse.
She didn't show any signs of illness with her previous owner. Unfortunately, I wanted to avoid having her examined before purchasing her, but in that case, they wouldn't have taken a hair sample, if you know what I mean.
I would like to know what you know about the disease.
It said on the internet that she can live a long time with this and that…but my fear of losing her is greater and so are my nightmares.
I don't know how I should feed her now or anything else…it's going to be three weeks until the vet gives me a precise food recommendation. I actually know that horses get what they need but treats aren't on the agenda like it says on the internet, but she'd rather have them than this and that's what I'm saying now.
I'm really confused….
And since she's had to go through a lot recently, and so have I, I have the feeling that she's not responding to me the way she did at the beginning, meaning she's showing me less about what she wants or needs…that's putting an additional strain on me…
Maybe someone has some kind words for me and something to calm me down for the next 3 weeks. Thanks in advance, regards
PSSM = ON TWO.
Really, if it goes, the best what you do Magerheu can get. Otherwise your horse wants nothing more, You it must be what is delicious for horses stay away.
For further information No:
apples, carrots etc
Cereals, mash, other purchased feed where it is like molasses or the like
Juices similar, nothing could be sugar in there.
If you don’t handle it, your horse will suffer a lot. The horse will suffer hell pain, similar to your worst muscle cat 10.
Actually, feeding is quite easy, keeping everything out of the horse what it doesn’t need anyway. Add some mineral food Other Additives.
Okay, animal doctor, I mean, I mean, I mean, I’m going to get the compounded feed.
How can I move them?
She gets a little handful of oats from me she loves her evening snack.
Is that really bad now?

Wait until the results are here. One quickly forms one that suits any symptoms. It doesn’t mean anything. If the results are there, your TA should advise you.
Take advantage of horse …. o.K.?
What does that have to do with horse. If you have no idea, and you don’t, otherwise you know what PSSM is, just don’t answer
