Can anyone tell me why the main road sign 306 is sometimes behind the intersection?

And what sense does that make?

This is especially the case out of place. One of the reasons I know is that you can’t park there, and that’s what the driver can see from the side street.

I don’t know if there’s another reason.

google white:

The traffic sign “Vorfahrtstraße” with the VZ-Nr. 306 indicates to the road user that he has progress on the next crossing or opening. With this traffic sign, the priority can be indicated above the crossing road if there is an exception to the right-for-left control.

The StVO knows that the driveway is not only “at the next crossing or opening” (that would be sign 301), but until the next sign 205 “Provide a journey.”, 206 “Stop. Grant a journey.” or 307 “End of the road”.

Shield before crossing= within closed village

Shield behind cross = Outside closed village

So help you choose the correct speed

Because otherwise the rule would be right in front of the left. Then it wouldn’t be a main road anymore.

because the sign says you’re on a road. No less says the shield 306
