A “real” handforged Japanese sword costs thousands of euros. Industrial production is much cheaper. Example: Cold Steel.

Yeah, a lot. Which of which I would use / recommend in detail for (What kind of cutting tool) depends on which tool and what purpose it is.

This starts with well-processed 440c, goes on to RWL-34, N690co and various others to S90v and more recently Magnacut.

Paul Chen makes suitable swords in series. Good price/performance for 1000 euros.

No decoration, but operational. Skin a decorative sword apart 👍
