Mostly, limbs grow again with the next skin, which means that in adult animals, of course, this does not work anymore. If a limb in a young larvae stage is missing, the probability is high that it will grow completely again until the adult stage. If large parts of the limbs are missing, the animals need several skins for regeneration.
