My grandpa smoked cigars, and he sometimes smashed the gluten from a cigar and erased it. Then he could light them again later and smoke. But that was a longer procedure and presupposes an ashtray.

I think it’s just a steam-degree.

(On the subject of ashtrays: I would generally make portable and closable ashtrays mandatory for smokers. Ashes and tilts lying around everywhere are really for breaking. Some smokers even remove their ashes from benches or the like, and then they are put in – disgusting!)

Cigars can be paused and I’ve got this from whistles, but I’m not 100% sure.

With large formats (part from a Churchill or Double Robusto) I let the cigar lie for a while and then smoke it at a later time.

You mean you can start smoking in the shop and then take a break and smoke later? I can’t believe…

In cigars, it’s quite normal that you take the cigar a while to smoke it later. But I only know about cigars and whistling.
