Vitamin B12-Mangel kann unbemerkt entstehen, was an der Zusammensetzung der Nahrung und ihrer Qualität hängt. Einseitige Ernährung spielt da auch mit hinein.

Es dauert aber ziemlich lang, bis sich Mangelerscheinungen schleichend bemerkbar machen. Wie es um die B12-Versorgung steht, kann mit dem Methylmalonsäure-Test festgestellt werden: liegt der Wert hoch (MMA: > 271 nmol/l), sind die B12-Speicher leer.

Will man supplementieren, muss die Einnahmehäufigkeit an die Dosierung angepasst werden.

Dosierungsempfehlungen (Quelle)

  • Zweimal täglich ca. 5 – 10 µg oder 
  • Einmal täglich 25 – 100 µg oder 
  • Zweimal wöchentlich 500 – 1.000 µg 
  • Einmal wöchentlich 1.250 – 2.000 µg 

Ich nehme z. B. 2 x wöchentlich 500 – 1.000 µg.

Es gibt sogar B12-haltige Zahnpasta – über die Mundschleimhaut wird das Vitamin besonders gut aufgenommen.

Wie du über die Nahrung zu mehr Vitamin B12 kommst, sagt diese Übersicht:

  • Rinder-/Kalbsleber: 65 µg
  • Austern: 14,5 µg
  • Kaninchen: 10 µg
  • Hering: 8,5 µg
  • Forelle: 4,5 µg
  • Rindfleisch: 5 µg
  • Schweinefleisch: 2 µg
  • Camembert: 3 µg
  • Emmentaler: 3 µg

Vitamin B12 ist relativ hitzestabil. Die Verluste schwanken bei den im Haushalt üblichen Zubereitungstechniken zwischen 10-30 Prozent.’

Example 1 to cover vitamin B12

  • 150 g cow milk (1.5 % fat): 0.6 μg
  • 150 g of yogurt (1.5 % fat): 0.6 μg
  • 1 boiled egg: 1.14 μg
  • 60 g Camembert: 1.86 μg
  • Sum: 4.2 μg

Example 2 to cover the vitamin B12 requirement

  • 100 g quark (20 % fat): 0.72 μg
  • 70 g of cooked salmon: 2.87 μg
  • 100 g Mozzarella: 2.00 μg
  • Total: 5,59 μg

I don’t find them bad, because the appetite for these foods shows me that my organism is already getting exactly what it needs!

I’ll take it in my own way in tablet form. In addition, I’ll leave Vit. B12 as ampule together with my Vit C- Infusion, mostly in the 2-week rhythm. When you get into the years, you have to be there, because this lack often comes unnoticed.

Soon I’ll let the MMA mirror in the blood be determined.

Yes, B12 och B9 values are controlled by a gene (MTHFR). There are polymorphisms (frequent mutations) in this gene which lead to B12 deficiency.

There is also an autoimmune disease where you have antibodies against proteins that are necessary for B12 absorption. It’s called pernicious anemia.

Sure, what does “normal” mean in our industrial nation? Not exactly full. (Even if you eat fruit, it has often been stored for so long that vitamins have been lost.) Especially the B-vitamins, iodine and omega 3 are often lacking. There’s still iron with woman.

Yeah, you can. If you simply take the vitamin b12 poor foods to you in your everyday life. Your diet must not be bad. In addition, we have so many deficits of vitamins and other substances that our body needs through very “normal” diet

The vitamin B 12 deficiency can also arise in normal rejuvenation. Normally, the memory is sufficient for several years. If it is refilled it should be easier; between, you can make a test whether the value is good. Then less feed should be sufficient.

Vitamin B12 occurs mainly in meat. Especially in cattle and pigs. In poultry less.
