Can you get used to tap water abroad?
Hi, I'm currently in Morocco. I was here last year and got severe food poisoning from drinking water. This year, I've only been using bottled water for drinking and brushing my teeth. Is it possible to eventually get used to tap water like the locals here without getting sick?
Unfortunately, despite taking great precautions, I think I have become infected again, as I wasn't feeling well this morning….
better not try that. I have a friend who, as a young woman, had made a backpack tour through Mexico. She wanted to be quite authentic there, ate what the locals ate and also drank water from the village fountains.
Back in Germany, she had to go to the Hamburger Tropeninstitut as a patient.
It’s not only colibacteria that can get you dangerous, but also worms. And they also suffer from the population there.
The most harmless. I think Coca Cola cans.
My experience of drinking locals (no matter where) tap water only if it is safe.
Otherwise it is filtered or boiled.
Only declare unobjectionable water to drink or use for brushing teeth. Wash, peel, etc.
There are countries where tap water is not drinking water. Even the locals don’t drink it.
Do not drink tap water, buy water in the store, there are in 5 l. To buy canisters, and with drinks at the bar on ice cubes, they are just as dirty.
Bullshit. Ice cubes in countries without tap water in drinking water quality are not produced therefrom.
with the opinion, however, you will almost stand alone because most hotels in the southern countries produce their ice cubes themselves, from tap water that may be cleaned once more, but there is always a recommendation to dispense with ice cubes.
You don’t have to do this, but don’t give me a word.
that is just your opinion I find your statement is total nonsense
END
That’s not an opinion.
This recommendation is outdated.
Your testimony is bullshit. We do not have to discuss this.
No. Bacteria and impurities damage every human being.
Boil water
