Can you drive without a driver’s license?
Hello everyone!
My question concerns my first driver's license, which in my case is A1. I passed the practical test a month before my birthday. I received a confirmation from the TÜV (Technical Inspection Agency) for the driving license office. It states that this certificate is not valid as a driver's license. However, a driver's license and a driving permit are two different things (as far as I know). The driver's license is just an "identification document," but the police also have to find out somehow whether you have a driver's license if you forget your license. So I'm thinking, if I drive now and get caught, I'll only pay the €10 fine for forgetting my license, since the license is already registered. Or will the driver's license application be withdrawn?
Do you have to apply for a driver's license somehow, or do you just go to the driver's license office on your birthday and get it issued straight away?
Thank you for reading and I hope for comprehensible answers!
Kind regards
Hello, with the first handing out of the driver’s license to you, the driving licence is deemed granted. It won’t be before your 16th. Birthday happened.
If you’re still driving, this would be a crime that can cost you your new driving permit.
That would be driving without a driving permit. You can’t drive that.
The Road Traffic Act (StVG) § 21 para. 1 sees when driving without a driving permitfine of up to 180 daily rates or a penalty of up to 12 monthsbefore.
No, that’s not allowed, and it’s a crime.
no that is not allowed. What is the meaning of a licence? Once you hold your passport in your hands, you can drive without consequences
After consultation with the driving station, I have been able to pick up my sons’ driving licences on their birthday, only with the property you can drive, call and ask for driving licences on further questions. They don’t bite, they’re normal people.
