Can you still use PowerPoint for free?

Hey, I've been meaning to create a PowerPoint presentation for a long time, but I can't edit it. I can't add slides or anything like that, or even insert any text. I asked a friend, and she said that you can only really use PowerPoint these days with a subscription. :/

Do you know if this is true and if so what is a good free alternative to PowerPoint?

PowerPoint has never been free. A license has always been required for this – since the introduction of Microsoft 365, this license is also available in the subscription.

For Android devices, there are separate MS Office applications with limited functionality free of charge in the Google Store.

Dodge to LibreOffice under Windows. The impress contained therein is comparable to MS PowerPoint.

There are both Microsoft 365 Abo and Office purchase licenses. In addition to Microsoft Office, there are also free alternatives such as the LibreOffice Suite, with which documents created in Microsoft Office can also be edited.
