Well, the Board/Sockek/Plattfom has little to do with i7 or i9!

I5, i7 and i9 always describes different models of a series…

There are, however, I7 12700k, i7 13700k and i7 14700k.

Or i9 13900k and i9 14900k

The first number that always changes describes what generation it is.

The higher the number the newer.

And an i7 or i9 in the same generation, will always watch the board!

So you’re buying i5 of 14th today. Generation, you can later upgrade to the 14th generation.

But don’t necessarily hold on newer generations (depending on intel when the nen new bases bring)

So you can not pack i9 15900k (if it comes) on this board later (probably).

Just as little you could call i5 the 15th. Pack a generation on it.

So you see, matching the motherboard is always the same generation (sometimes several gens, e.g. 12th to 14th. Gen match all the same boards)

15th gen, but will surely no longer fit! Since a new base was announced.

On a board where an i5 13400F fits, you can (at least theoretically) up and with i9 14900K “upgrad”…

Of course, you need to remember that a 14900k on such a favorable board makes little sense, as the much more power draws, and the voltage converters etc. On this board then surely sn their limits come.

Work it! A 14900k fits the board, but he won’t be able to exploit his full potential.

That’s why the proposal is a little more for the Board to issue, not so wrong!

Nee in principle I would not look at intel now to upgrade later…

The current socket “LGA 1700” is dead!

Since no new series will come for it.

If you want to upgrade in 2-3 years, you will definitely not want to upgrade js to a 3-4 year CPU “upgraden” even if s is an i9.

A current i9 will be worse in 4 years than any middle class cpu!

That’s why it makes little sense and you have to buy a new board anyway.

If you look down, you want to upgrade in 2-3 years, then buy ne current AM5 AMD cpu! This pedestal is supported even longer and you can upgrade to a better current cpu later!

Hello,

yes – you can. For the platform there are i7 and i9 processors. But whether these are worthwhile is another topic. In addition, many of the i7 and i9 processors that fit the boards are faulty and partially defective.

Why don’t you look into the CPU list of the respective motherboards?

Don’t be in vain for giving you such information you ask.

And at the end WIR will not be able to give you any other statement, as the manufacturer, as already stated, can read everything.
